Dream Vacation Joanne planned my wife and I (M38/F34) an absolute dream vacation to various locations in Italy. (Amalfi -- Capri -- Florence -- Rome). From the initial planning which began months before we left up until the days before we departed, communication was constant and transparent. Joanne thought of everything from hotel location, train/car transfers to/from various ports/train stations, overall practicality with timing and comfort, excursions and pricing. Before we left, not only did she give us a detailed itinerary which laid out all of our activities on a daily basis, but she also gave us a packet of all of our bookings/tours/train tickets in chronological order so we could easily flip through them as the days passed by. This made it super simple to navigate and took a lot of burden off my shoulders when thinking about upcoming transfers to the next location. All of the excursions went exactly as they were described details, so there were no extra hiccups that you might expect in a foreign country with a heavy tourist presence. Additionally, all of the people who ran the tours/excursions were legitimate, helpful, and I would definitely use any of them again without hesitation. We just really can't thank Joanne enough for planning such an unforgettable trip, and would definitely use her again. I would recommend Joanne to anybody who asked. - David W.

I recently had to travel to Phoenix . Rather than hassle with reservations for airplane tickets, car rental and hotel on my own, I called Cruise Planners. Katie Ida was able to make all the arrangements for me. I addition, she walked me through the process of getting my boarding pass printed and having a wheelchair ready and waiting at the airports. She made sure I understood that I had to check in 24 hours before my flight and called me to be sure I had done just that. I probably could have figured all this out on my own but it would have taken me hours, if not days, to get it all arranged. For two older people traveling to an unfamiliar city, nothing could have been easier. I love that she set it all up just as I needed it, but that she also followed up to make sure everything went smoothly. Definitely will be using Cruise Planners for future trips and definitely will want Katie Ida in charge..

Caribbean Cruise! We booked a cruise for us (2 adults and 3 kids) and for my parents in law with Kate. It was our first cruise ever and we were excited but also a little nervous. The cruise turned out to be wonderful! We started in San Juan, Puerto Rico and explored the West Indies (Barbados, Grenada, Dominica, St. Maarten, and St. Thomas). River Cruise We just got back from a river cruise on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. Before choosing a cruise, Joanne gave us our options as far as European vs. American river cruises, etc. Joanne gave us personalized service that you wouldn't get if you booked with booking directly with the cruise line. Nice size ship - number of passengers was under 200 people, and there was plenty of room for everyone. No waiting in line for anything - all meals served at one seating. Food was locally supplied; it came in every day from the port of the day and was very fresh. Onboard historian was a hoot. We learned and appreciated so much more about Lewis and Clark and the importance of their journey. We met some great people, and everyone was in the mood to have fun. Alaska Cruise Too bad we can only do 5 stars! Joanne helped me and my family plan the perfect Alaskan cruise and adventure travel vacation last July!! We started months in advance (here's a tip: for best deals and most choices, start as far out as you can!) Joanne was/is extremely knowledgable about Alaska and the Princess Cruise line, and had great tips for figuring out what was most important to us and how to plan excursions etc. WE HAD A BLAST. The entire trip was without a hitch. Spectacular room -- connecting by balcony with our kids next door. The part of the ship we were on was ideal it turned out, because of the views, what we were close to, etc. The trip was excellent but this is for Joanne -- kind, insanely patient, worked so hard for us, getting every detail just "handled." Never had to worry about a thing. Oh! And the entire "work with an agent' thing was doubly worth it because she knew we needed to update our passports, and we did not. My son was of an age that his needed to be renewed. Whew! If we did this ourselves, we would never have known that, and gotten to the airport to go to Vancouver and our trip would have been delayed if not ruined. Make no mistake, all cruise and trip planners are NOT the same. Western Med Cruise Joanne helped my husband and I plan our trip. We went on a NCL cruise in the Western Mediterranean and 3 nights in Rome. We had the perfect location near Trevi Fountain and a great little hotel that we probably would never have found on our own. Playa Del Carmen, Mexico My husband and I have been to the Playa del Carmen, Mexico many times and have always booked the trips ourselves. Grand Canyon Trip Who says you should only use a travel agent when planning huge trips? Joanne recently planned out our trip to the Grand Canyon in AZ. Joanne took care of everything from booking our flights, our car rental, hotels, excursions and tips on things to do at each location, we didn't have to sweat the details at all! Everything a Travel Agent Should Be! I worked with Kate at this Cruise Planners office for two vacation in 2016. My first trip was to Riviera Maya Mexico. I called Kate with only the destination in mind. She listened to my "must have" list, and found me a fantastic all-inclusive with a gorgeous beach in my price range. That trip was awesome! It was so awesome in fact, I called her when I started planning my next vacation. For our second vacation we went to Turks & Caicos. The reason I am giving Kate and Cruise Planners a 5-star rating is because THIS is everything that a travel agent should be. Anyone can simply book a vacation online these day, but why would you when you could have a travel expert help you for no charge? I highly recommend you give them a call and try them at least once. Caribbean Cruise I had been networking with Joanne for a while and never did I understand the magnitude of having a personal travel agent. I just figured I could do it all myself. Well that changed when I booked a Western Caribbean cruise with her. She did all the booking, found me some nice excursions at better prices than the ship offered them. I was running late for a second excursion and needed someone to call the company to let them know I was not going to make it in time. I called Joanne from Mexico and she took care of it. They were waiting for us when we arrived with a friendly smile. The most "HUGEST" part about having a personal travel agent like Joanne is that she let's you know about all the time saving lines you can bypass. When we arrived to the ship, the line was so long that I wanted to turn around. Fortunately for us, Joanne informed us how to check in at the airport so that we would not have to wait in all of the lines. I would not have known that on my own. Playa del Carmen Family Trip Kate helped us book a spring break trip with our three kids (age 9,8 and 8) to Playa del Carmen. It was a FANTASTIC vacation! She helped us find the perfect resort - we were looking for lots of the standard resort amenities (pools, beach activities, all inclusive packages, etc.), but we also wanted a kitchen to be able to prepare food for our tree nut, peanut and egg allergic son. Kate hooked us up with Royal Haciendas which exceeded all of our expectations. Kate helped us stay within our budget by suggesting alternative travel dates instead of the normal Saturday to Saturday trip, which made our airfare substantially cheaper. She also helped us book a very fun excursion that started with a visit to the archaeological site of Tulum and ended with a day of snorkeling in an underground lake, zip lining and repelling. I have to mention that she was quite responsive when I emailed her the night before the excursion to coordinate the pick-up time at our hotel. Smooth Cruising I didn't realize how awesome it was to have a travel agent until I met Joanne. The cruise went as planned. She sat down with me before we left and explained my trip to me. All of the suggestions like registering at the airport was the best thing she could have said to me. Once we got to the ship and saw all the people waiting in line, we were so happy to just walk right by them and get on board to start our anniversary celebration.
