We returned from our second cruise booked with Carol & Sara a few weeks ago, and could not have been happier with the help they provided. Sara steered me away from the cruise I had originally been interested in and to a ship she knew was much more kid-friendly. The ship (Oasis of the Seas) was PERFECT for my 4 year old, with toddler appropriate water slides and a carousel right on the ship! We had booked an excursion to Disney, and a few months before our trip, Sara texted me to tell me there was a reservation open at one of the restaurants in Epcot for dinner with the princesses (something she knew my daughter would love!). These reservations fill up quickly, and we were able to get one thanks to Sara's tip. It is this kind of attention to detail and thoughtfulness that makes Cruise Planners the best! Great cruise! Rescheduled this cruise from May to October. Weather was fine with one afternoon of showers. We enjoyed the ship, Mariner of The Seas, and the ports of call. Staff and entertainment were excellent. Good interaction with cruise director and the Captain! Our days at sea were filled with many activities. As always Carol and Sara were most helpful and saved us money.

Thank you, Carol and team, for assisting our family with our own Greek Odyssey on Azamara Onward May 2022. Our party of three generations made fantastic memories. Our grandsons were treated like little princes on the ship; maybe because they were only two of a handful of children, but the crew quickly learned their names and could not not do enough to see that their time was fun and so memorable. At specialty restaurants the boys were served anything they wanted, way more than the menu offered. Thanks to Carol we were incredibly pleased and surprised to find out when we got on board to find out that she had arranged with Azamara to upgrade 4 of 6 staterooms to suites, which also included numerous lavish perks. The ship was lovely, and the smallest we have sailed; on top of that it was only about 2/3 occupied, making it extremely intimate and cozy. Carol Matulounis and her team went beyond excellent in planning and supporting us on the first river cruise. On day two my wife fell and broke her hip. Having traveled extensively for the last 30 years if have never been faced with such a problem but the excellence of Carol’s skills came through from the day of the incident to the hospitalization and surgery and the negotiating on our behalf with insurance. My husband and I took our first Viking River Cruise in Nov. of 2016. I had been diagnosed with kidney cancer that spring and was so uncertain if we should go. Carol assured me that I could adjust all the activities to my health requirements and that my insurance was there if I needed to cancel. Since then we have taken the Vikings Homeland Ocean Cruise and are are leaving in a month for an Australian Viking Ocean Cruise. Please allow me to take a moment to share with you the exemplary service Carol Furst Matulonis provided for us in planning our most recent trip.
Carol truly knocked it out of the park. She was efficient, organized, friendly, helpful and went way above and beyond any travel agent I have worked with in the past. She took care of every detail of our Viking River Cruise and every travel arrangement before and after the cruise.
Let me to elaborate. Our group of four wanted to stay a little longer in Amsterdam at the end of our voyage to see some sites and it was our hope that we could secure tickets to the Anne Frank House. Apparently, these tickets are very hard to secure. It became Carol's mission to get those tickets for us. She set her alarm for 2 a.m. day after day after day just so we could have the amazing experience of touring the museum.
After many days, she was successful and the trip to the museum was one of the highlights of our trip.
The flight from Amsterdam to Atlanta was 8.5 hours long. When we got off the plane and were waiting for our flight to Dallas, we received an email from Carol stating she had called our hotel in Dallas to reconfirm our late arrival.
She also caught Viking's error on flight arrangements to Switzerland (they booked us to the wrong city). We were so grateful because we assumed that we would be transferred from Zurich to Basel and had no way of knowing that this was an error.
She has also fought valiantly to help us get our refund for the Delta comfort seats that were purchased on those incorrect flights.
Viking also made an error on mailing our tickets and travel documents. Carol once again made sure that we received those in time for our departure (along with all the Viking goodies).
We are so very grateful for her help and assistance. From reading this letter, you can easily tell that this dream vacation had the potential of being a nightmare without Carol's expertise and hard work.
Having worked for many years in an industry which requires exemplary customer service and having had extensive training in customer service, my expectations are high, and to be honest, very rarely met. Carol Furst Matulonis not only met but also exceeded my very high standards for customer service.
