Certifications I’m a CLIA certified Elite Cruise Counselor (ECC), a Luxury Cruise Specialist (LCS) and an African Safari specialist. The ECC designation is conferred by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) upon dedicated travel agents who have completed an extensive program of classroom training, cruise experience, ship inspections and a combination of video training and attendance at industry events. In addition, the LCS designation signifies my expertise in the luxury market. As mentioned above, I'm also a certified specialist with numerous suppliers.
Experience
Training is important, but experience is even better. My first cruise was on Home Lines’ Oceanic for my honeymoon in 1981 which established my love of cruising. Since then, I’ve been on over 100 cruises with almost every cruise line and have visited over 40 countries. I’ve traveled to some interesting and off-the-beaten-path places spanning five continents by land and sea. I’ve been north of the Arctic Circle where I saw wild reindeer in Kiruna, Sweden; and south of the Antarctic Circle, sailing amidst immense icebergs and walking amongst penguins in Antarctica. In Buenos Aires, I stood under the Casa Rosada balcony in where Eva Peron gave her famous speech, walked in the footsteps of Greek Gods on the island of Delos, sat ten feet from a pride of lions in Kenya’s Maasai Mara and tossed a coin into the Trevi Fountain, ensuring my return to Rome.

We got back yesterday from our Ruby Alaska cruise. It was all we’d hoped it would be and more! This cruise of the Inside Passage was filled with great experiences and many wildlife sightings. Moose and sea lions at Glacier Bay. Mama bear and cubs walking alongside the roadway in Skagway and Frasier, BC. A pod of Orca killer whales swimming by The Ruby waving their tails at us.
Thank you for my birthday surprise, The Balcony Breakfast for Two with champagne was plentiful and delicious! We enjoyed it the morning of my birthday which was Sunday, a Sea Day. What a wonderful way to kick off the celebration!

It was a delightful week on the Celebrity Summit. The only disappointment is that I wish I had more days to explore Bermuda. I suppose the solution is that we should go AGAIN and take a 10 day cruise.
