I'm a life long learner and constantly take online courses to improve my skills and my personal self. My love for research and analysis serves me well in my role of a trusted travel advisor. I know very well you are capable of researching and purchasing your own travel. I did it for years. Then last year I booked through a Cruise Planner travel advisor and they found things for my trips that weren't available to my personal searches. I never really thought about the time I saved allowing a travel advisor to do all my research. I was so impressed by Cruise Planners that when I decided to buy a franchise and be my own boss, I researched multiple option for a franchise types from lawn care to consulting services and many more including travel franchises. There is an old adage that time is money. But when I graduated with my Masters/MBA in 2017, I was a finalist for delivering the commencement speech. Unfortunately I came in second, but when drafting my speech I leaned on valuable lessons from my time as a sales manager and sales trainer for a multi billion dollar software company. It is that time is not money, but rather time is more valuable than money. Your time should have a cost to it. You may value your time as $50 an hour, or $100 and hour or maybe even $500 an hour. Why should you use your time researching something instead of letting an expert use that time for you? And in the end find a better deal than you could find on your own time. Its a win/win on saving your valuable time and your valuable money. Another important lesson I used to teach and preach to my sales people was about ego of wanting to do everything oneself instead of allowing others to help. I called it "Big Ego = Small Wallet, Small Ego = Big Wallet". The concept is letting others with expertise to help you out rather than wasting too much of your own time. The same applies to your personal life and in this case, making your travel pans. And the final lesson from my past skills is turning what people want into what people need. It starts with listening.

I love travel. I have a passion for travel. My wife and I decided after 2021 that why were we waiting to do our bucket list travel? We're not getting any younger. So we seized the YOLO (You Only Live Once) mentality. Now I've turned my passion for traveling and my life skills into turning a passion to help others make their travel dreams and wants into needs and making them become reality.
