Deborah S We so appreciate all that Vanessa and Adam did for us for this trip. We had cancelled due to health reasons, and then, got approval from the doctor that we could go. We made Adam & Vanessa jump through hoops to get this trip (again). The cabin was wonderful because we had the only refurbished model on our floor. It was wonderful. I didn’t get a chance to do the survey online for the ship cause they offered it the last 2 days, and we didn’t have time. I find the food better with Oceania. It was good on Regent, just not the same as Oceania. The excursions were average. There would be 28 people in a group, and there would be no head sets to hear the guide. We had this experience on 3 of the excursions. The Wales excursion return was really odd. The driveway to & from the ship was only one lane. There were issues with the gang plank for there was crane trying to move this.. The buses had to wait 45 minutes to return around 1:00 pm. Not the best, logistically. There were over 100 passengers trying to get off the ship and onto buses. Crazy. I love the “block party” experience in Regent. What a great way to meet neighbors. Creates such a friendly atmosphere. The entertainment was GREAT! We usually pass on the entertainment when we travel on Oceania. On Regent, the talent was excellent. Because the passengers are older on Regent, I wish they would start the evening performances at 9:00 pm versus 9:30 pm. The staff on the ship was excellent, especially our cabin stewards. We were on concierge level. Find this a waste. We never did anything with the concierge. And, because we rebooked so late, they didn’t help us with dining reservations or excursions. However, if we hadn’t been on the concierge level, we would not have gotten the beautiful cabin. We love the fact that all was included with Regent (realizing you’re paying for it), where we really realized how nice this was was when we could meet for a cocktail before dinner at any time. On Oceania, it seems that their happy hour for 2 for 1 cocktails from 5:30-6:30 dictates the rest of your evening. It was an amazing experience. The size of ship was wonderful. I know the ship will be refurbished overall soon, but it was beautiful. They have kept it up. - Deborah S.

Thanks for getting us back into cruising!! This is a quick review of our 12 day holiday cruise on Vista December 18 to 30 in the Caribbean. It was our first cruise since on Marina in early 2020 that was interrupted by Covid. Also, I had an emergency above the knee amputation in early 2021 so this was an easy “test” cruise to see how things would pan out. This was our 6th Oceania adventure with all others being on Marina. Pleased: Bag drop off at Miami J terminal was easy with helpful attendants and parking in the garage was close by and easy. As I am handicapped with an artificial leg and have an adapted vehicle, it was a bonus parking with for the 12days FREE! We had checked in on line prior to arrival so from parking to walking onto Vista took only 15 minutes. Checkin organization was excellent and we really felt welcome. Compliments to Oceania as this as the best EVER checkin. Vista is as advertised - new, crisp, clean, sparkly and simply gorgeous! All the dining rooms are utterly beautiful and comfortable. Gathering areas including Horizons are visually stunning. We had to settle for a B2 veranda as we booked late. We did not ask for a handicap accessible suite. Nicely outfitted and again new and sparkly. Closets and bathroom a definite improvement over Marina (not upgraded yet) and no problems for an amputee. Deck furniture light weight and comfy. All the dining rooms with served meals were very good from a service, ambiance, and quality standpoint. The new Aquamar Kitchen was a nice option for lighter and unique fare. Specialty dining was very good but we do miss Jacques and its’ replacement Embers was our least favored. Toscana was very good, as was Red Ginger (sea bass still outstanding) and surprisingly the Polo Grill was our favorite this voyage as we usually don’t look forward to it.. The Grand Dining Room is visually stunning, nicely sectioned with arches etc, and was our favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Terrace food variety was as we remembered and quality was very good. Croissants are still to die for. The bakery in Baristas was a pleasant surprise with relaxed seating options and very good fare. Early afternoon returns from excursions were easily handled by delicious mini-sandwiches or quiche. The Terrace Cafe staff were always observant and on the spot in helping me (amputee) navigate from the buffet line to my seat. The new outside canopy/cover is super and very welcome!! Artist’s Loft was well done. We did not use the Aquamar Spa Terrace but we did sneak in one day and it is beautiful! The Grand Lounge is beautiful and while the furniture is comfy it seemed, at least to us, to not be as luxurious as on Marina. Could Have Been Better: The revamped Vista Lounge for shows etc was a major disappointment with side sight lines blocked, (could only see 60% of stage) a smaller and lower stage than Marina, and strange “lodge” style side seating with poor and single entry access. Seating slope angle is poor and when sitting in the center, 15 rows back, you could only see the performers from the waist up …. not good as so much of their routines are dance! There is only one elevator going to decks 4 and 5 making shore excursion access or post evening show exits a bit of a crush and long corridor walks for the physically challenged. The Terrace Cafe interior is nicely updated but the outside seating was VERY overcrowded with too too many tables. The ones placed right in front of the service butler area bye then access doors were constant obstacles for even the best hurdlers! We love to sit outside but we had to constantly ask people to “pull in” so we could pass. The music in the Waves Grill was, at times, so loud that we could not carry on a conversation. We ate there only once. Stirrup Key was a tender port that we skipped due to waves/rough conditions. Happened on the cruise before us as well. NCL needs to build a docking facility like at Mahogany Bay. People are still up at the crack of dawn “reserving” pool deck seating. We saw two people reserve a day bed under cover as well as 2 chairs in the sun that they alternated between. Sadly, they are only “no reservation” rules if they are enforced. Overall: Oceania still “fits” us and we are AGAIN looking at the brochures and planning for our next adventure. - David R.

Lesson learned. Use Adam! A long overdue thanks for taking care of that KLM cancelation mess. And the rearrangements with the car pickup. And the travel insurance etc. That really threw me.
