We had a wonderful 50th anniversary celebration on the “Rhine Getaway” Viking cruise. Each day brought exciting activities and incredible scenery as we traveled through Switzerland, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. We also added a 4-day pre-excursion through Viking, which included train rides through the lovely Alps in Switzerland. We would highly recommend this extension.

My wife and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary and we were trying to figure out what to do. We had looked at going out west to the Tetons but were leaning more toward going on a cruise. We enjoyed a wonderful Danube cruise on Viking from Bucharest to Budapest. I normally prefer to book all my travels myself, but was very glad to have booked this through an agent. First of all, it was less expensive! And, when some changes were required to our air travel, Jon worked through all of the details directly with Viking. It was great to have an advocate, and to avoid all of the hassle. I’ll definitely use Travels by Jon and Kitty again for our next cruise adventure!
Every summer for over 20 years our family has enjoyed a weeklong vacation. Now, our family has grown to include 12 adults and 19 grandchildren which makes for a grand total of 31 people. Planning a vacation for this group is no small feat. This is where Jon and Kitty come in. I asked Jon to find us an all-inclusive resort that would be safe, fun, family friendly, have decent food, connecting rooms, lots of activities, and easy to access. He accomplished all of that and so much more as he engineered a wonderful trip to Cancun, Mexico. All of our family agreed this was the best vacation ever and that is quite the commendation considering all the places we have been in the past and the fun we have had.
This was our first attempt at an international trip, and it was successful in every way, thanks to Jon and Kitty. There were many conversations, many obstacles, many questions, many things to navigate and Jon and Kitty handled all of it for our family. It made for an absolutely fantastic family vacation. The weather was great, the resort staff wonderful, the activities plenty and the food above average for sure. Our rooms were perfect, the pools were plentiful and some great kid sized pools too. Yes, there were a few glitches. The beach wasn’t as nice as we wanted due to tropical storms and other factors that are not under human control. There were some schedules that went awry, some miscommunication, but through it all, Jon was right there, helping us and assuring us all is well. In addition, he gifted our family with a generous bonus. Whether you are planning a trip for a large family, small family or just the two of you, I recommend you contact Jon and Kitty to provide you with honest, hard-working, friendly and trustworthy service. We had such a great vacation! 12 days start to finish. We started in Rome and saw the Colosseum, The Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and toured the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Then we took a day trip down to Tuscany and stopped and quaint towns and a lunch at a vineyard. So much fun!!
Then the cruise boarded and we were off for relaxation combined with beautiful Greek Island ports. We did the Princess Sun, which is a brand new ship. Enjoyed great food and relaxing while cruising through the Mediterranean. This was only our third cruise so we were still learning the ropes.
