It is an older hotel and needs some renovations and definitely need signage to help the patrons. Many visitors commented - this place is a Maze! The only resaurant in the building is only open for breakfast. There is an open area outside the pool for lite fare. You have to use there employee to get a cart to move your luggage. You are not allowed to pick up a cart and return it without their employee. Check in times were rather chaotic - again no signage to direct you where to park while checking in. Also - parking is where you find it. You do not have an assigned space with your reservation. There is no handouts at the desk regarding amenities or menus. The desk clerk hand wrote information when we needed it. Our bathroom was not handicapped adaptable, but we managed. We both use canes and need the safety bars.
Our room was as described but we didn't realize it faced the open dining area on the ground floor and they had LIVE entertainment and loud music all day - couldn't sit out on the porch with the noise other than before 11A in the mornings.- Grace C.

Susan from Cruise Planners is a pleasure to work with. We have used her several times now. Our last cruise (to Alaska, June 2024) didn't meet our expectations (not Susan's fault). There were a lot of coughing and sneezing people on the ship, and we both became sick on the cruise and therefore were not able to enjoy most of the amenities on board. We used Cruise Planners to book one of our 3 shore excursions. The price was $50 pp less than Princess' same excursion, and the experience was fantastic. However, my husband was too sick to go, and I'm waiting to see if I can get the credit for his portion (as was promised by the tour operator's contact person that I spoke with twice). I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it lumped the cruise line and tour company together.

It turned out excellent and I wouldn't have done it otherwise: she did all the work of finding the right trip, advised on hotels and such; she did all the work of recovering the credit when we couldn't go due to logistical issues; she did the work again when we were ready to rebook, found us an excellent option. During our stay I realized she had gotten us the best option out there- our hotel was really the optional place,and she had known this. She gave us advise on what to do that was extremely useful, based on her knowledge of the area (Cancun ). There is no way I would have been able to do all she did to make our trip happen. We spent a very wonderful two days in Normandy, France so far. The DDay tour today was intense and emotional. Your suggestion to stay in the town of Bayeux was perfect. It is beautiful with friendly warm people and amazing food. The Hotel le Bayeux you found for us is right in the heart of the village-not fancy, but clean and comfortable.
