This cruise was amazing! I've been traveling for decades and this was my best vacation ever. I highly recommend everyone to take this 11-day Alaskan cruise. We loved every port. We stopped at Icy Strait Point, Skagway, Juneau, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan, and Prince Rupert, BC. The views were breathtaking and the weather was perfect. We only had about one hour of rain the entire trip. The excursions we selected taught us a lot about Alaska and its people. The guides were extremely knowledgeable in the local customs and told explicit details that painted the picture of what it was like for the original settlers and native people. We were on the Carnival Miracle and loved the feel of this ship, especially the Gatsby’s Garden on the 3rd deck. This hidden hideaway is a perfect place to relax in a peaceful environment. And because this is an Alaskan cruise, the forward pool was open while the middle pool was covered. The middle pool was the perfect temperature throughout the entire cruise. The crew was phenomenal. Our cabin stewards, Jonah and Saw, were extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. The staff in Bacchus Dining Room and Horatio’s Lido Restaurant were extraordinary. They ensured that everything was perfect at every meal. The shows were amazing. We loved Gil at Sam’s Piano Bar, Solo Guitar Sounds with Bart, and Variety Violin Music with the Modern Trio Project. These performers were professional and entertaining. The Carnival HUB app made it super easy to track what events we wanted to see each day. I especially loved channel 32 to see our ship’s position, course, speed, wind speed, temperature, and water depth. But the most amazing part was having a naturalist, Steve, provide a morning lecture and then join him on a deck for a nature walk. He explained what we should expect in the next port and even made PA announcements to point out whales on the port or starboard side during the cruise. We look forward to taking this trip again shortly.

We had been planning a family trip for over 6 months and unfortunately due to a family member’s medical condition, some of our family couldn’t make the trip. All I knew is that we wanted to go to the Grand Canyon. Reese suggested we go to Sedona as our base and travel from there to see the sights in Arizona. We are so happy with all his suggestions. We selected Los Abricados Resort. When we arrived there - they upgraded us to a one bedroom from an efficiency. The one bedroom included a full kitchen and a living room. We had a beautiful patio to sit on to look at the beautiful sky at night. The saltwater pool and hot tub both heated was a fantastic way to cool off after all the exciting adventures we went on. We went on a Pink Jeep Tour up the side of the mountain, had a ride in a helicopter, rode the train to the Grand Canyon, went ziplining, had a massage and experienced some wonderful restaurants! Reese Killpack is a travel planner SUPERSTAR! Referred by a colleague, we met with Reese at his home after he sent us just enough information to be prepared to make our Alaska cruise travel plans. He had all the information we would need at hand, asked just the right questions to help us think through the 50th-anniversary trip, and offered a plan based on our desires. That was just the start.
Once we settled on a travel date and itinerary, Reese booked our first-class air travel and Seattle hotel. He went the extra mile by arranging transportation to and from the hotel and our embarkation point.
Now still about three months from our travel date, Reese provided us all the information we needed to book our excursions via Norwegian Cruise Lines website and mobile app. We had plenty of time to check out the options at each of the ports on the cruise. We received our prepaid excursions on embarkation…precisely what we had set up online.
About two weeks or so before our travel date Reese reached out to confirm we had no unresolved issues (which we did not). Even the day before, Reese reached out once again just to make sure all was going well for us.
