Mark and Valerie Macdonald are here to assist you in creating beloved memories of a lifetime through travel. Specializing in all facets of land and sea based travel opportunities, Cruise Planners enlists the knowledge and relationships necessary for the best value in the industry.  We build relationships with our clients and believe in making a vacation one that meets your needs.


Mark has been a part of the travel industry since being an early teenager.  His mother, Susan, started a new career as a travel agent when he was 13.  Since it was back in the day where home computers did not exist, he spent many nights quizzing her on airport codes around the country and the world!  He specializes in Luxury Travel and Europe, although he will never turn down a Caribbean beach!  He is a Certified Cruise Counselor through CLIA.


Valerie developed her love of travel after a college semester abroad in Michoacan, Mexico.  She is a PADI certified diver and loves the warm waters of the Caribbean.  As a Certified Sandals Specialist, she maintains an insiders knowledge of the Sandals and Beaches brand every year!  Also, she has been traveling to the Sunshine State for Disney World since being a small child.  Now at over 40 visits and countless amazing experiences, she is a very qualified Disney Expert and graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge.

We had the pleasure of being introduced to Valerie Macdonald about a year ago. She first helped us with a 12 night British Isles cruise through Princess Cruise Lines with stays in London and Paris. My wife and I had not Cruse for 30 years so we needed a lot of handholding. Well, Valerie made it easy with suggestions and tips. We had some special request and Valerie was eager to do the research and help us. She also urged us to purchase trip insurance, which in the long haul turned out to be A+ advice. Everything worked out without a hitch. Our next adventure was in Alaska land/cruise also with Princess. The first three days were fantastic, but we then contracted Covid. She helped us get home. After arriving home and getting well, Valerie came to our home and helped us fill out and transmit the insurance claim information and supporting data. She then followed the claim with the insurance company to assure we got everything we were due. All the while she had some serious family health issues, but she was able to juggle things to where we did not suffer. In conclusion, these trips cost a lot of money. You need to have expert advice and have someone who is there for you when something unexpected comes up. Valerie, is that person for you just as she was for us. - Mike O.
