I had the opportunity to book a cruise through Mike last year with Royal Caribbean. In pre-planning Mike was very helpful with us trying to figure out which cruise line to take, differences with each line, and dates. We booked the perfect cruise for our family and had a blast on the cruise. Mike didn’t just stop there. Leading up to the cruise he reached out and made sure we had everything we needed to make it a memorable experience. The cruise itself was a great time for our family. We enjoyed the Bahamas, Key West, and Cocoa Cay. Everyone on the ship was very helpful in making sure that we were enjoying our time, and Mike even had a couple of surprises for us throughout the journey.
When we got home from our cruise, Mike called to see how the experience was and get a feel for what we enjoyed and what could have been better. We couldn’t have asked for a better service level. I have since recommended Mike to a few friends who were cruising, and their experience with Mike, from what they have told me, has been much the same as ours was. I would recommend Mike without hesitation to anyone looking at planning a cruise!

I wanted to do something special for my mother’s 80th birthday. The best thing I did was contact Mike Franks with Cruise Planners. He went out of his way to make my mom's dream come true by arranging a cruise to Alaska. Mike arranged everything including our flights, hotel, transportation, as well as cruise and shore excursions. The only thing that we had to do was show up and of course pay for the trip.LOL.
We arrived a few days early and stayed at a 4 star Doubletree Hotel. Exploring Seattle was a real treat. We celebrated mom’s birthday eating dinner at the top of the Space Needle. They sang and treated mom like a queen. We enjoyed the views and took in all that Seattle has to offer.
For the cruise, Mike talked me into having a balcony cabin. Thank you, Mike, for doing that.... omigosh, pure heaven. Mike provided me with a company called Shore Trips to arrange our shore excursions. We learned more about the culture and saw more wildlife from a grizzly eating dandelions to an eagle in her nest. We had extra time so we climbed to a waterfall instead of going back to the ship early. In Ketchikan we were showed which wild berries we could eat. The local tour guides were absolutely wonderful. Our whole trip was truly amazing just like Mike Franks.

Mike helped us book a Bahamas cruise on Royal Caribbean. He did a great job helping us select two rooms for our family that worked great. This was our last family vacation before both our teenagers would be out of the house and so we were able to disconnect from the world and enjoy spending this last family vacation together. Traveling is one of my husband’s passions including the planning and shopping for the best deals. We have, therefore, avoided using a travel agent; we couldn’t have been more wrong! The first time we used Mike Franks’ Cruise Planners we were delightfully surprised when he contacted us to let us know there had been a price reduction on a booked cruise and we were able to save several hundred dollars.
Not wanting to totally give up on our independence, after doing some initial research, we consulted Cruise Planners on our plans to take a cruise to the Baltic Sea and Russia. We told Mike the cruise we wanted including the cabin we had chosen. Again, when there was a price break, he was on top of it. Looking on Royal Caribbean’s web site for shore excursions, we were not altogether pleased with the choices and did not want to be herded with a large group of people all going to the same locations at the same time. However, Russia does not permit unescorted visitors, and requires a visa, which Mr. Franks provided. Knowing our preferences, he suggested we look at some semi-private tours offered through American Express. What a difference! We were met just outside of customs, our guide spoke perfect English, we were able to get through all the masses quickly, and our group consisted of only eight people plus our guide and we were also guaranteed they would get you back to the ship on time.
Convinced that going through Mr. Franks was wise, we naturally consulted him when we decided to go with seven other family members to Australia. Mike was able to create an itinerary that accommodated the various needs and wants of the people traveling with us. My husband and I returned a week before the other members who decided to take a land tour from Sydney to Melbourne before returning home. He was able to obtain a rental van large enough to accommodate their needs and arranged their hotels along their chosen route. Everyone continues to talk about how smooth our travel plans went.
