Passport & Visa Requirements for Travelers

LET THE FUN BEGIN! Click Here To Start Your Trip!

You might be heading to the most exotic and beautiful destination in the world, but if you don’t have the right documentation, you’ll never get there. Even travel insurance won’t protect you from a missing visa or invalid passport. Travelers are responsible for identifying and obtaining all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. Unfortunately without proper documentation, you may be prevented from boarding a flight or cruise ship and from entering a country. These requirements are by government regulations and policies.

Visa & Passport Solutions for Upcoming Travel

To avoid the unthinkable on your vacation plans, we’ve made it our goal to keep you informed and prepared for your next trip, when you use one of our local travel agents.

Anyone who plans to travel outside the United States will require a valid passport or visa to enter another country, as well as re-entry to the United States. To travel within the United States, a driver’s license or other state- or federal-issued photo ID is required.

Do you need a passport to go on a cruise for your upcoming vacation?

Travel Visas

A travel visa is a document issued by a foreign country that provides permission for you to gain entry into that country. All travelers are responsible for determining whether or not a travel visa is required for their upcoming trip, that is why we recommend using a travel advisor.

Cruise Planners is a partner of CIBTvisas, the largest and most well-established travel visa and passport company in the world. CIBTvisas provides a fast and easy way to obtain a visa, passport and other documents for travel anywhere in the world, including destinations such as China, India, Russia, Australia, and Saudi Arabia.

You can learn more about our partnership with CIBTvisas online from your Travel Agents's website and you can also ask your Cruise Planners Travel Agent about their range of passport and visa services, including obtaining your first passport, getting your child’s passport, processing an urgent visa application, and other solutions for your travel needs.

Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)

Do you need a passport to go to Canada? Not necessarily. Traveling to or from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land, sea, or air? The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires all travelers to present a valid passport or other approved document that establishes the bearer's identity and citizenship in order to enter or reenter the United States. For more information about WHTI rules and requirements, please visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection site
