Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, was named Best Large Company at the Coral Springs Business Excellence Awards on March 20, recognizing the powerhouse team members that make up Cruise Planners 120-person Home Office Team and the company’s legacy in the area. The award, presented by the Coral Springs Economic Development Office, was earned based on the economic opportunities Cruise Planners provides in Coral Springs, its commitment to growing and succeeding in the city and the positive contributions made to the community.
“We’ve come a long way in Coral Springs from a team of with three people to our Home Office Team now of more than 120,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and Founder of Cruise Planners. “Cruise Planners is more than a travel company – we are a technology developer and a marketing agency with a philanthropic heart.”
Founded in 1994 by present-day CEO Michelle Fee, Cruise Planners has thrived in Coral Springs for 25 years and has attracted a broad range of talent to the area for its teams in technology, marketing, accounting, business development and more. It is the only travel company of its size located in Coral Springs, whereas many South Florida-based travel companies favor Fort Lauderdale or Miami for their headquarters. Cruise Planners’ overall impact in the local area was recognized by the Broward County City Commissioners office this year when Jan. 29 was proclaimed Cruise Planners Day.
From Cruise Planners’ headquarters in Coral Springs, affectionately known as Home Office, the Home Office Team supports Cruise Planners’ nationwide network of more than 2,500 franchise owners. Cruise Planners recently reinforced its commitment to Coral Springs with a new office, designed to feel as if employees were working at a Google-like campus.
“We pride ourselves on the ‘Cruisitude’ and commitment our Home Office Team has to working at Cruise Planners.” Fee said. “We’ve created this unique space and positive company culture that is really able to thrive in Coral Springs.”
