With luxury cruise sales on the rise, the role of the travel agent in helping discerning travelers find the right cruise is even more important. Recently, Royal Caribbean International purchased the majority stake in the luxury cruise line, Silversea Cruises.
“We are excited to hear about the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Silversea partnership since both brands win and its great for travelers. Royal Caribbean, (LINK to our page) now has an expanded their portfolio in the luxury market,” said Michelle Fee, CEO and Founder of Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, which is a top-producing travel agency for both brands and took home Royal Caribbean’s highest award, the Chairman’s Award (LINK) for the second time this year. “I look forward to seeing what Royal Caribbean’s creative and innovative thinkers come up with next now that they are playing in the premiere ultra-luxury space with Silversea.”
A few years ago, Norwegian Cruise Line acquired Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises and has combined some of the lines’ signature elements into their brand, including the cuisine. Fee told the Miami Herald, “you can definitely see the infusions of Oceania and Regent in the food” on board a Norwegian cruise.
Navigating each cruise line and their sister brands can be difficult for some travelers, even veteran cruisers, since each cruise brand has unique features. That’s why having a trusted travel agent to help you along the way makes for smooth sailing, so locate a Cruise Planners travel agent who can help you choose the right cruise.
