Carnival Vista: See the Sea in New Ways

The Carnival Vista, the newest ship in Carnival Cruise Line’s fun-filled fleet, has all the makings of a perfect vacation: good times, great food and spectacular views. Cruise Planners Training Team member Justin recently sailed on the Carnival Vista, checking out all the activities and delicious food on board. Read on to find out Justin’s highlights!

The only attraction of its kind in the world, Sky Ride is fantastic for those who are looking for an adrenaline rush and amazing views. You’ll pedal your way above the ship and at one point even be suspended 15 decks above the sea. 

Test your balance, strength and endurance on the Ropes Course. This is as much fun to watch as it is to participate! Seeing people trying to keep their balance across single ropes, rope bridges and other moving platforms was nothing short of comical. 

Coming from someone who has traveled on ships for a living, to say that Flick was one of the best, if not THE best, shows I’ve seen on a ship is a big deal. Flick is not just on stage, but there is also a full-blown red carpet event preceding the show, chock-full of celebrities (fellow guests who were dubbed celebrities ranging from Beyoncé to Elvis). A hilarious red carpet interview series set an upbeat tone for a jaw-dropping show.

I dined at Cuccina del Capitano, the Italian themed restaurant and Ji Ji, the Asian-fusion restaurant. At Cuccina del Capitano, the meal starts with family-style starters ranging from Italian meatballs to fried calamari to the amazing risotto balls, with an incredible tiramisu for dessert. At Ji Ji, the variety and flavors of the meal were complimented by the friendly and creative way the service team took care of us. The desserts were outrageous and delicious – there was even rose crème brûlée topped with a real baby rose. 

Overall, my experience onboard Carnival Vista had me wanting to come back again to experience even more of the activities, entertainment and cuisine. I can’t wait for my next experience with Carnival Cruise Line!
