The itinerary was great, but the Viking experience was not as good as we have experienced many times in the past. The ship was great, on-board service was great all-around, the dining was good, but the 'thinking man' and 'cultural' experience promoted by Viking was seriously lacking. Limited, basically worthless port talks, the half-hearted Cruise Director and her self-promoting 'Assistant Cruise Director' were more interested in their song & dance careers than informing or educating the guests on the ports. The On-board naturalists and speakers were very good.

If offering the Northern Lights in the future, I'd seriously consider a later date, maybe February. More could be seen then and perhaps more of the excursions on the ship would be a go. I suggested to Celebrity that destinations in India should be avoided until India makes the process more tourist friendly. All the other countries were easy to visit and enjoyable. Indias over the top bureaucracy was ridiculous. Flying into the country is so much simpler than the port arrivals. Being checked 3 times each way in and out of every port after an on board process that took most people more than 2 hours was just ridiculous.- CHRISTINA K.

It was a trip of a lifetime for my daughter and I. Kristin. Was always available to help. The viking river cruise was over the top
Professional but yet friendly staff were everywhere. The food was like the finest restaurants and the entertainment and daily briefings were so well done and well timed. Shore opportunities were well planned and guides were great with lots of history and patience.
We had wheelchair assistance everywhere until we hit back home.. in the Atlanta Airport they wheelchaired us to within sight of customs and never returned. After an hour we just wheeled ourselves through. And by this time had to sort through thousands of luggage. Not the best ending to a very ewonderful trip.
Susan was absolutely wonderful to work with. She listened to what we wanted and planned a perfect family vacation.

Kristin did a wonderful job of planning a cruise for 19 family and friends on the Princess Sky. She was able to speak to most of the group through Zoom in the fall and answer questions for all the attendees regarding ports, insurance and the Medallion system. She was able to add a friend 2 weeks before sailing without any issues. We had the upgraded beverage package and the on board credits which we gladly utilized. The cruise was truly a successful

The food has rally fallen off in the last 2 years. Carnival caters more to the teen/early 20's clientele.
Kritstin and Jim are very helpful and knowledgeable. Always use them for tours (guided or custom), cruises, and international trips. For cruises, the Cruise Planners system montirors pricing every day. If the price for your cabin category goes down after you've placed a deposit, they will be alerted and get the lower price for you. Remember that you are paying for a travel agent whether you use one or not so it is best to receive the help from Kristin and Jim, especially if/when some difficulty arrises.
I had procrastinated booking the cruise we were interested in taking until all reasonably priced cabins were sold out. I contacted Cruise Planners and James went to work trying to find me a cruise package that worked for my schedule. All hope seemed lost but James tenaciously checked cruise availability. The next morning he called with the exact cruise I wanted reserved for us. We just returned from this trip and had a wonderful time. Thanks so much to James going above and beyond to help me.
