Had heard many good things about Viking River cruises but had never been. Carlson Vacation/Cruise Planners did it all. Just before 'trip day' I was getting nervous, as Rick and Allison were on vacation themselves. I called office and got very reassuring and sound advice from someone who calmed my nerves and made the 'anticipation' of cruise more enjoyable. Amsterdam to Basel was an amazing experience, one we want to relive someday. Every single item: from food, organization, to interesting city visits were well choreographed and left nothing to chance. Do not think we can 'outdo' this experience but want to try. Allison was fantastic throughout the process; even when we got nervous about staying in a charming 'European boutique hotel' in potentially hot, humid August weather, she pivoted us to a larger Hyatt hotel in middle of Amsterdam. She made me feel like I was her only client and I could (and did) call her anytime. I would use Carlson again for sure, and until COVID-19 hit, were planning National Parks trip this summer. Allison forwarded to us some information this winter to help us for this trip...a true professional!
