Our cruise planner travel agent, Bonnie and Dale, planned an excellent vacation. They booked us a beautiful suite and provided lots of information on the drink packages and the excursions. Bonnie was excellent on keeping in touch with us about when payments were due and their website provides a great app that allowed me to easily check in on line. A nice surprise was waiting for us after an excision off the ship, we came back to our suite to find chocolate dipped strawberries and a bottle of Prosecco Italian Sparkling wine-a favorite of mine-waiting in our suite along with a lovely note. In the past 13 years I have booked my own cruises, and it was too frustrating. Then I felt It was prudent to use a travel agency to plan a Mediterranean cruise (having never been to Europe.) That genius almost sent my Colombian husband to Rome without the proper tourist visas despite several emails promising me she verified he didn’t need one; he did. We literally missed the boat.
My next travel agent planned a trip with my husband’s brother and 88 yr old Grandmother Luz, it was our gift to them. So why, when the cruise line needed grandma Luz’s room to accommodate another family, did that travel agent give the Acapulco Suite, (complete with a butler)to my guests and not her paying clients, I’ll never know because she had no answer! Grandma argued with that butler over ironing. She wanted to do it, he was insulted; I was crushed….it could have been me ( always the bridesmaid never the well you get my drift.)
Dale & Bonnie at Cruise Planners make our 3rd travel agents and the third time was definitely the charm. With Cruise Planners we booked a 10 Day Alaska land/sea cruise tour with Royal Caribbean. The process went like this: they did it all! They did all the searching, all the tour booking, all the hotel arrangements, and all the ground transportation. They researched our endless emails asking about beverage package deals (and answered every single one) they researched excursions and arranged for my whole family along with Dale & Bonnie to get on a Zoom call where we all had a chance to discuss our trip in detail and ask questions in person. For every deadline that approached Dale or his partner Bonnie sent an email. Since I have a chronic illness they took the time to carefully explain my travel insurance options to make sure I was properly insured. Once I made my choice Bonnie took over from there and two days before we left I received a letter from the insurance company wishing me a fun trip and a booklet with instructions in case I needed them!
Of course there was Covid-19 to deal with. Dale and Bonnie continued to send us updates by phone or email every time the CDC changed the testing requirement for travelers. They also sent reminders to my group to order our Covid tests and reminders of when to take the tests, as the requirements were to take the test at two different times.
Cruise Planners, With Dale and Bonnie made all the difference and I believe it’s because they really cared. They cared that they were getting us a great tour at the best price. They cared that we were getting accurate Covid information. They cared we knew about travel insurance and what was the best for me. They cared they were giving us the best service by answering every email and and every phone call.
To sum up this long review, I’ll use Cruise Planners again because I know when I call and ask about a trip to Italy, they’ll make certain to get the accurate information needed for my husband’s visas . And the best part is….I won’t have to worry about it because I know they will take excellent care of me.
